Ebay has a 182c with a $10 bid on it right now. Sounds like a steal. Thanks, now you've got me looking to upgrade my Garmin. Kinda interested in the 192c (updated 182c) reasonably inexpensive with good software.

I like Garmin . I have a Raymarine E120 on the Carver and a Garmin 550 on the Cig. I find the Garmin faster and way easier to use especially when you don't have time to take out the manual and read the 10 steps it takes to do anything .
My next cruiser will have Garmin. Paul |
I have lowrance 5300C and love it, I am puting one in my 20 as well, colors are great, easy to use and I like it better than the garmin, it was actually less expensive as well, they have them now at boatersland.com for about 450 bucks.

Wow, this is more difficult than I thought. I figured I would immediately lean to one side or the other.Wally, looking at the 172C on E-bay I can get one for just under 300 w/ warranty and all parts. So not to disrespect your friends misfortune, but I would offer him $175.00 for his unit as-is. If that is unreasonable, I understand.thanks Mike-909-576-4337
