Fountain 46 Raceboat

Does anyone have some info about this Fountain 46 Racehull?'
http://www.offshoreonlyclassifieds.c...o22256-en.html

Who used to race it? Owner?

It was the Fountain Flyer, I think it was owned by Jim Horn of LightHouse Point, Fl. It was crashed in KW and never raced again. It sat out in the snow if Michigan for a few years like you see it so I would be worried the the core might have gotten wet. If you want to put a SAFE canopy on it , take it back to SKATER.

also beware of anything that has a light layup, especially older boats. They were usually built for short fast race careers. Interesting boat. Back than the only way to lose lbs was to lose material they really didnt have the nice techie stuff we have today

How is this hull compared to the newer racing Fountains?

Could this hull compete with the newer Fountains if re-rigged?

I Had Someone Check This Boat Out A While Back-- Like Ryan Said It Was Crashed De Rigged And Has Been Outside For A Long Time. The Boat Has Many Soft Spots Throughout The Deck And After Learning This He Stopped Looking At It So I Dont Know How The Bottom Is. Its A Cool Boat But I Felt That It Would Take Too Much Money To Restore.
