Opinion - which single engine hull is the fastest
Winter (and broken Merc outboard again) has me down and I keep thinking about putting together a project.
I want a single engine boat (V-bottom) 24' or greater that would make a good race boat as well.
I'm looking for the fastest hull Hp for Hp.
Yes, my project will be diesel but that has no effect on the question, I need to determine what hull I would start with? It doesn't have to be a boat currently in production, I would start with a used boat that runs great now so I have a baseline to work with.
There are soooo many out there now Activator, Phantom, Fountain, etc, etc which is faster?

Wow, your asking a open winded/opinionated question. Fastest single engine hull would probably have to be a 26 Velocity, however not by design, by weight, theyare about 1000lbs lighter than anyone else. However I would suggest a 27 Fountain, or 29. a couple clicks off from a Velocity butbuilt much stronger.
I am sure you will get plenty of opinions
