Default Great way to treat a fan

A simple "good game guys, your boat looked and ran great!!!" and some arrogant azzhole from Geico decided to inform me it's no game. Learn how to take a compliment or stay the hell out of the public eye. I have personal friends with race boats who were running too, but I'm always willing to pay some respect to a winner. Boy was I wrong thinking they were winners!!!

I was a fan of Geico until that very moment, way to go guy!

That sounds a little rude.

And certainly doesn't sound like Scott or Mark.

It doesn't sound like something anyone on our team would say, and if it was, I would deal with it . Part of our mission statement is to make everyone we meet feel great about us and our sport. If it was a GEICO team member, I sincerely apologise. Marc, myself, an Haggin truly appreciate fans and fellow racers. We have a large team, and have had some bad apples in the past, in fact, I fired a team member last year in Key West for being rude to fellow competators and fans.
You have my sincerest apology and if you would like to speak with me regarding this matter, please send me a pm and I will give you my #

I would guess it (unfortunately) might have been someone wearing Geico apparel and not someone on the team. Scott B and rest of Geico team have always been nothing but cordial and friendly to any and everyone who would show interest in the team and sport. From saying hello to taking pics etc etc nothing but CLASS! Don't be that quick to judge the team on that off the wall comment.

Seriously though, Team Geico rocks.. One of the nicest group of folks on the water, I would be surprised if it really was someone actually on the team, not just someone wearing a shirt..

WOW...I think I'm a Geico fan now.
I guess that's why so many people are wearing the t-shirts.
Good response

For Scotty to come on here and even give a responce shows great sportman like conduct! From the people I know and have met over the years the whole team is like this all the way down to the guy that does the nastiest dirtiest job! Hopefully this was an icolated incident and thats all.

Good job in KW Scotty, you and the team looked great!
