Help...Upholstery Stain
Brought the Cig home and found a hatch had leaked. Lifeline was wet and stained the white vinyl seat cushion. Mildew came off with mild soapy water and Magic Eraser but it won't touch the ink stain. Idears?
Thanks!! |
Tuff-Stuff and a brush usually will get most stain out. Worth a try!

ever try swipes? they work pretty good.good luck.

start with mineral spirits and a rag. mineral spirits wil not harm the vinyl. if the stain is still there you can use lacquer thinner with a que tip on the spot only, this should do the trick. after ward clean with soap and water... what ever you do dont use aceatone it will break the finish on the vinyl.:drink:

Pull the seat and place it out in the sun for a week. That tip got rid of 4 stains from black bags on my white upholstery.

Clorox Clean Up and the sunlight will most likely get rid of it. I had a red shirt bleed and turn a seat pink. It took about a week of boating and a few applications, but it faded away completely.

Someone in another thread mentioned using denture whitening tablets disolved in water. Good luck |
Spray Nine or Fantastick and let the sun do the rest. There is no substitute for sunshine as a stain remover.
