Read link below...... http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/p...quidators.html The boat sunk in salt water in FL for the 3rd owner. National sold it for 30K minus power/drives after it was repo'd along with a 37 Outerlimits that was owned by the same guy. Boat went out west........ Those are the facts I know........ |

Jupiter, on the other thread you mention how overbuilt these 38's are. Better ride than the 41' Apache? That's saying alot. I know Dan was obsessive.
Powerplay 38's are ridiculously overbuilt and therefore heavy...... Best riding boat I have ever been on and I have caught rides on everything from a 38 TS TG, Sunsation F4, 41 Apache, Nortech 43V........ The Powerplay was outstanding! This is one man's opinion, right wrong or indifferent, everyone is entitled to a opinion. I agree with the exception of the 41 Apache and the 43 Nor-Tech. Both of these boats having the majority of Speedmaster drives..(Like mine) which are way different then bravo style boats. I would have owned a 38PP, but did not get along with Dan, for numerous reasons. If someone of quality would start building the 38 PP molds again, and I was willing to go down in size, the 38 PP would be the only other hull in the 37-40' I would consider. Jeff |

The boat ran low 80's all day long with 525's and 5 blade Maximus props. Best speed was 84 on the GPS if I recall correctly but boat originally had a genny, a/c etc. OSO Steve was the 2nd owner and they went out in 6 foot seas to try to break something only to come in disappointed. I think they were betting if they could get the flat screen TV to fall off the wall (it didn't). |

Jeff The Apache had #5's and the NT's were both triple bravo boats with NT power just to clarify...... The NT's had the most amenities/ was most luxurious. |

bravos on a 43 Nor-Tech are not a way to go..Way to heavy of a boat. The issue will always be on your mind when someone pulls along side of you on a PR and the conditions are less than favorable. That's where this 43 Nor-tech boat shines. There is a difference also in the NXT boats as well as the #6 boats. There are a few good boats out there, alot depends on set up.. |

So I guess I should say we were in 15's cause they were F'n huge. Couldn't see the beach or horizon between the waves. |
