lucky strike 11-20-2008 05:30 PM

What is the website ?

Xchoke03 11-20-2008 06:19 PM

You must have a dealer liscence and membership to sign in.

I was curios if anyone knows the Horsepower on the motors or any performance info at all.

I plan to watch the live auction tomorrow. I if anyone has any interest let me know.

Sacred Ground 11-20-2008 06:27 PM

How much $ 4 u 2 bid for me?

J-Bonz 11-20-2008 07:14 PM

That is one bad a$$ boat. I hope some one on here gets it and it dont go over seas

jeff1000man 11-20-2008 07:25 PM

I love that engine set up. It belongs in a museum.

Wish I had enough cashon hand. I would have you bid for me.

I have 20K if that will get it done, but I don't think there is a chance in hell it goes that low.

If it does I'll be right over.

Sucks to be broke when deals like that come around.

If the dow drops another 500 tomorrow you'll be able to buy 2 for that price.

That...in my humble opinion...should buy the boat.

Well then there should be money left to have it delivered.

How about you buy it and then put it in my driveway for 20K and take the profit.

You give me a ride when I visit Florida and we have a deal, OK ?? Let me know how hi you want to go. I was ready to bid up to 20K anyhow. I figured if I got lucky and won someone here will want it.
The only thing I ask is if I bid for you and you don't go thru with the deal there is a monetary penalty, its not alot but I'd hate to give money away.

Its going off around Noon on friday so let me know.

I think 20 would be worth buying the boat at. It is a really cool and unique boat. Looks like someone spent a fortune at one point in time building it.

Good luck you guys. Remember us poor boys out here when something really cool turns up again.

Can you keep us updated during the auction?

Sacred Ground 11-20-2008 09:16 PM

Yes, it definately looks like it....Funky deck that isn't shown in the pics.

custommarine 11-20-2008 09:43 PM

I can give you the information. It was the Powerboat "CAM" (Canada-America-Mexico) race boat. Was purchased from Nordskog by a freind of mine in Oklahoma who owned it for several years and updated the boat changing the paint to white from yellow and orange. We had the boat in Miami for a while at TNT when my sales office was located there. The boat was sold a few years back. I don't know what happened to the boat since, but I can tell you it was a good boat and the Gentry turbo motors ran very well in the boat. If someone is serious about buying it I can get them additional information.

Having met and talked with Pete, and more importantly having friends that are friends of Pete, this is about all the creds I'd need to go ahead and take a $20k chance on this boat site unseen.

It almost looks like a Squadron that's had Cigarette decals put on to be more "understood".

Looks really sweet either way.

NJgr8ful 11-20-2008 11:43 PM

Boat has been around (eBay and another website), at least twice recently, meaning in last 6mo - 1yr, and did not sell. The reserve was at like $70-80K if I remember. Definitely the same boat as Peter said, Nordskog/CAM 39'. Can't post pics anymore, but I got few from the other times it was on auction.

Xchoke03 11-21-2008 01:52 PM

The auction produced a high bid of 21,000. That bid was refused. I was told the owners were looking to recieve around 40K or better.

Oh well.

Oh well.

Well it was fun while it lasted.

dmaxx3500 11-21-2008 07:47 PM

i saw it only got up to 14k last time it was up

tony stamis 11-21-2008 08:13 PM

i saw that boat on copart a couple of months ago

SABER28 11-21-2008 08:27 PM

the website is copart.com . however you need to be a dealer to access the site. be aware this is an insurance recovery auction and almost everything there is either damaged in some way or is a theft recovery.

dmaxx3500 11-22-2008 07:53 PM

there have been a bunch more of dealer trades, fleet, and donation vechiles on there[copart] for the past 4-5 years and in some states the public can buy there too

SABER28 11-22-2008 09:50 PM

yea, watch out for the "dealer dumps". there is usually a reason its at a salvage auction.

tony stamis 11-23-2008 02:35 PM

saber28 is right unless you live near the location of item its basicly sight unseen motors could be bad drives etc.you have to buy thinking the worst possible situation

SABER28 11-23-2008 08:17 PM

i buy about 200 jeeps a year from copart, iaa, etc. 99% of the dealer vehicles are junk. i've seen everything imaginable from these jokers. to call them crooks would be a dishonor to crooks:mad:
