Sad to see, I hope whoever gets the power and drives that they get as much enjoyment as Kevin did, I'm sure he would want the sport to keep going.

very weird, i would of thought the motors and drives would of been pulled to sell, the boat is unfixable, must of been totalled by insurance company and sold to salvage co. for their fees.

Tow company owns it outright? Thats a steep tow bill.

RIP Kevin, my condolences to the family.

Guys, before it gets too out of hand, Kevin only had parents for next of kin. Kevin's dad wanted nothing to do with the boat and says he really does not want to see the water ever again himself. I offered to help him sell the boat, like a broker. He did not want to go that route. He really just wanted to put this part of this behind them. He settled with the insurance company and I sent him a check for the boat. It was no where near in trade for my work.

As you may have guessed, his parents have their hands full getting the estate all settled, so getting this done, to them, felt like removing another burden off of them.

I really have no need for the boat and equipment. I do not need to have the fastest towboat on the lake. I just figured I would post it here to see if anybody can make some use of it all. The insurance company did not want the boat, as they had settled for less than insured value and there was no bank involved. I took it upon myself to brand the title as salvage, just so there would be no mistakes later on down the road.

That is about it. It is truly a sad story, but what else can you do at this point. Someone will get a great deal and make use of all this stuff.

Sad to see such a beautiful boat torn up like that. Like offshoredrillin said I hope that the equipment will be used in a good way to preserve Kevin's memory.
