Stop by and say hello to Richie Powers AKA 7xchamp Deep Impact Boats accross from Geico. I look forward to all SO members to say hello.

DaveP 12-12-2008 10:56 PM

And quite the gentleman Mr. Richie Powers is!

I met Richie at the Liberty Landing boat show 6 years ago and he is a true gentleman and definately one of the living legends of offshore. He's been there, done that and has a sh*tload of T shirts to prove it.

Not this year Johnny. We have too much going on with building the new facility. We did get our new boat show boats in this past week though.

I hope it is a good turnout for all there. We will be walking the show sometime next week.

7X and Scotty B, see ya next week.

Tom

Nice! We thought we had a busy shop until we stopped down to you guys a few summers ago...holy crap!!!

cowisl 12-13-2008 05:31 PM

Just got back from the show...though there isnt much performance stuff, its worth going just to talk to Richie powers and John Haggin.

ManBayBoatClub 12-13-2008 06:04 PM

The show was nice, but there wasn't alot of powerboats to see. I just got back, and on the train ride, I had to deal with a bunch of azzhole little kids who were so fuhkin annoying. That gave me a headache.

Jigsaw89 12-13-2008 06:19 PM

Does anyone have pictures to post?

I'll be there Wed.

I was at the show as well yesterday afternoon and would have to agree not much of a showing from the performance industry. There was definalty alot of non-marine venders at the booths. But all in all was a nice day at the show . Except the $60 parking for 4 hours. ( note to self )Dont drive your full size truck to the show next year.

Yesterday I stumbled across Richie Powers and Alan Cohen. Spent a 1/2 hr swapping stories about the old days and their take on the poker run boats of today. Had a great time as both of them have seen more than most when it comes to our sport.

The Deep Impact Boats also looked absolutely awesome.
