OK, so what is it that you are calling BS on?
The LBS that where given were from the MFG's. Look'em up yer'self.
The speeds were from real life experince with BOTH boats running in the same water side by side and with both guys in each boat.
If you have the same experince with different results then post'em, if not then I suggest you watch who you are calling out.

Apples to apples a 35' will do high 90's:kiss:Lbs are important in comparison:drink:

If were not worth it, why are you still debating the issue? The thread started with a 38 VS a 38.

I have personally seen 95 in a 38 lightning, 87 in a 42 lightning, and 90 in 38ZR....the Donzi (9500lbs) weighs less than either Fountain, 38 (9800lbs), 42 (11,500lbs)....since the thread was a 38 vs 38 not sure how you conclude the Donzi is faster....and yes the Donzi is a about a foot longer than the 38 Fountain but pound for pound the Fountain is faster.....in the rough one would expect the heavier boat to win out but the operator of the boat makes a huge difference

Had to do with a comment posted that didnt have anything to do with the comparison. I would not associate you with some of the other owners. You dont go around praising Reggie thinking no boat is better than theres like most.

Because with Paradise there and his BS flag with the 42 vs ZR! Yes the 38 ZR is more comparable to the 42 Fountain. For the rough all you have to do is look at the past racing records, when racing was better. Both Donzi and Fountain had some good battles with both winning alot of races and championships.

I would have to agree with "Beak", the length of the boat is irrelevant, at 80 MPH only a few feet of the boat are in the water. The weight comparison is more accurate. For some TOTALLY unbiased answers I would suggest the guidance of Bob Teague or Powerboat Mag.

Pound for pound, power for power, you can't beat the beak! :evilb:

Quite candidly and this doesnt have anything to do with you, but I dont know how a 38 Lightning can weight 9800 pounds, realistically. Yes, I know thats what they publish it at, but the boat is small and short. There is definately some fluffing going on, IMO.

Put all the bs aside A Donzi is like a chick with a fat ass and no tits and as for the beek adding 2 feet run a piece of tape up the hull and get a tape measure you will see more like 6 inches.

The p4-33 Konrad 33 fountain weighed 9250 lbs in Keywest on the scale no cabin gutted in race trim 50 gallons of fuel. I have pics to prove.

Still think you all should get a subscription to Powerboat mag., they are unbiased and tell it like it is. BTW as tested by Bob Teague and Tomlinson 2008 38 lightning staggered 525's ITS 96MPH.
Don't take my word for it, see for yourself.
