How come nobody ever puts jet engines into boats???

ohhh haha i thought thats what you might have meant but if you ever deployed a thrust reverser on the back of a boat you wouldnt have any friends at the bar, it would look like what a helicopter looks like when it hovers about a foot off of the water, mist would be going everywhere......i just got back from alaska where i was rigging reversers on a snow covered ramp, and everytime we deployed them is looked like a blizzard around the plane......

yeah im thinkin it wouldnt be too hard to get the thrust adjusted so its at the right angle and leave it there like they used to do with the old arnesons that didnt trim, and for adjustment i would run k planes like any other boat, and for steering i would run a rudder like some of the race boats........i figure it would haul ass with each engine putting out 3,100lbs of thrust and weighing in at 400lbs, plus no drag from an outdrive...........

yeah im reading about him right now, i would like to find out a little more about the basic set-up of his boat, and if it would work with a conventional v bottom at lower speeds....

Can you even imagine what the thrust would do if you got a little nose high over a wave! I can see a few somersaults! At least a prop would lose bite when it cleared the water.
