I like this a lot. I always wanted to see Geico and Bud Select/Light go head to head in the past.

I like that too...don't get me wrong, I loved watching Gieco, JBS and Aquamania go at it at the worlds, but I think with this change there will be more competition among the big boys

Will they require forward-neutral-reverse capability? Believe this was a rule before...

So 55s will be the needed turbine to compete?

Not really,
Team Geicos Mystic is at Turbine Marine right now getting re-rigged with T 53 -703 (1850 HP).
This will be the engine choice for this team, and the others for the OSS racing in 2009.
Team Geico will use there T-55's to set speed records when team owner gives the go !!
Looking forward to an great season.

The race between Gieco and Bud Select in St Clair in 2007 was the most exciting I have ever seen. They were running down the 4 mile straight on the Canadian side at 170 side by side the whole race. Can't remember how many laps, at least 10. I'm looking forward to seeing more like that.
