Question How much is this "Well-crafted" boat worth?

Hey guys. Normally I don't throw these "whats it worth?" threads out there, BUT I got a guy who wants to drive down from D-town to look at one of my old boats.
Its a 1982 Wellcrsft 26' Nova II. Twin 350/260's-575 hours. Alpha drives, Imron paint. Sink, Fridge.
The paint is in great shape on sides and bottom, bow is fading. Interior is good, rear bench is loosing it at the stitching. The boat runs excellent, taking no oil and runs smooth. The trailer is in Excellent shape and fits the boat well. If you guys could help me kick some #'s around before I call this guy, that would be great.
I see these things SELL anywhere from $1k to $15k. I would think in my little brain, this one is a 6-9er.
Let me know what you think.

Nick

The stripes in the side of the hull are paint, not decals. The stripes on the trailer are also paint, and not pin-stripes. I've had the boat for 5 years and it is a solid hull. The teak-wood is in excellent shape and is fully restored. Some TLC would make this a great boat for somebody. I just don't know what is fair for the boat. Seems like a lot of these Nova's are going for what the power and trailer are worth.

try 9-12k, if the motors run well, trailer rolls....nice solid hulls. My buddy had a Nova III 23', I think, with t350-260's, backin the late 80's

In this market, I think 12K would be too high. I know of a 33' mid 80's Foutain in the 16 to 20K range with B&M Supercharged BBC and Speedmaster drives.

Your boat does look nice, but I think a better price in this market would be $6-8K to not sit on it for a long time. It should make someone a good boat.

My 2 cents....

I have looked at a couple like this in Wis and IL..

Basically the same specs, hours, condition.

They sold to 50 yr+ old guys for cash for $6500 +$ 7500. 600ish hours.

Great input guys, sounds like I am in the ball-park for price with 6-9. I still like the boat and am not worried if it doesn't sell, so we will see if this guy really wants it or not!

Nick

BTW, good luck with the fountain sales!
