I read tru the reviews,some were saying not very bright,DOA,etc,
I am guessing the light is just shooting out one side ,or are the lights in a tube shooting light out 360 degree's??????

I think you might want a "drop light" only shining in one direction with the light focused on the work area. The Northern tool light we bought works great and last a long time (hours) between charging. Because it is thin, you can get it right up to the work area even in a tight area. It is especially handy in the bilge, under the dash, or in the bow area. My comment on the 30 light LED I tried is that it was short on light. These LED lights are just a speciality tool, not perfect for all applications.
