Looking for a LED Rechargeable Work Light
I am looking for a good one for the boat, truck and shop.I wonder if they put out as much light as a 100w bulb? I'm sure someone here has already researched this.
I saw some 110v on the Snap on truck a few years back, it was made by Ferret Instruments Inc.It looked to be high quality.Did a goggle didn't find any,I'm wanting one thats bright and not a long tube, like for under the dash size. Thanks for any input Rob:ernaehrung004: The sears one looked like a cheap import to me, better than this http://www.overstock.com/Auto-Parts/...4/product.html |
Try Craftsman I got one that is about 1 foot long and doubles as a flashlight comes with 110 charger and 12 volt charger
does a nice job for me |
Check out the Northern Tool cordless 60 lite LED
|
I bought an rechargeable LED trouble light form Sam's about $25 can't beat it. It takes abuse, not fragile like flourescent units.

I have a 60 led work light that i got from MARK TERRY aka DOCK HOLIDAY. Give him a call at 704-881-0031. T his is without a doubt the best worklight you will ever own.Comes with both chargers.

does a nice job for me I looked at the Craftsman kinda looking for better quality maybe brighter,I know they make different type led bulbs, some brighter than other, maybe there all about the same quality lights??? 35 leds http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_03473904000P Thanks for info Rob |
Here's another one on overstock. Bigger battery. Buying site unseen it's hard to determine quality until you put it in your hands. Overstock's return policy is killer, so it my be worth it to give it a shot.

I bought the Sams club one for my dad a couple yrs ago and for the $$ pretty nice.
|
I was using my older fluorescent and my LED one last night. The LED has a narrower beam/light projection area. Fluorescent definately brighter. It would need a ton of Leds to compare to a 100 watt bulb.

I have 2 30 Led freedom lites. I use them all the time. They also make a 60 Led model. I bought them from tool warehouse .com, Doug

Griot's Garage .com
Bought two last year and they work great.:ernaehrung004: |
Ez red makes one there is also the freedom light.Does it have to be led? I sell the streamlight rechargeable flashlight they hold up very well much better than what you are looking at.PM for a price or more info if interested

Ferret discontinued that light if that is what you want you can get the longer freedom light but they are about 3/4 of an inch thicker than the light you saw on Snap-Ons truck |
Easy- Facom
Facom makes the best Led handheld rechargeable Ive ever seen.
http://www.pro.facom.fr/CatalogueGen...AG-CAT-05.aspx Brutal money, but Facom quality is like snap on tools or better. (actually I like my Facom ratchets more) Uncle Dave |

The Northern tool light we bought works great and last a long time (hours) between charging. Because it is thin, you can get it right up to the work area even in a tight area. It is especially handy in the bilge, under the dash, or in the bow area. My comment on the 30 light LED I tried is that it was short on light. These LED lights are just a speciality tool, not perfect for all applications. |
