there are the classics "How do you zero these out?" A guy with a 35 Fountain lightning needs to know how you "zero out" his drive trim and tab indicators.

And "What are trim tabs for?" from a guy who has a 32 Fountain Fever.

How can you progress to a freaking 32 or 35 foot fountain without knowing what trim tabs do?

Very scary. Boo.
I hate to stir up more sh!t but... can you explain to us how to zero out the drive and trim indicators? I know how but it is not the easiest thing to do depending on how it is rigged.

I frequent both sites and several others but get tired of all this BS. Do I agree with what happened in the past? No, but how many magazines have spun off from others. And look at the Florida aluminum trailer industry. This is a fact of life and is what causes all of the sites to grow. At this point how they grow is up to the people on the boards and the direction that the moderators and owners allow them to go.

If it makes her feel better, I already have a fascination for a man with a big Gun

If you are talking to me, yeah I do know how to zero out the indicators. And yes, it does depend on how it's rigged, but come on.... apply a little basic mechanical common sense.
My point is not to stir chit up between OSO and speedwake. The point is that I just met the folks who make our insurance go up.
But maybe if I had just spent a bunch of money on a boat that is beyond my abilities and experience I would be posting asking what trim tabs are for. Before I take a high speed run in my twin step new toy.

If you think that it is BS for me to be shocked at the beginner questions being asked by people with 32 and 35 foot fountains than that is your opinion.
It's not like it's a guy who just bought a 21 foot single to get his feet wet is asking.

I appreciate your charity toward your friends at SW. I don't appreciate guys who slap a bunch of money down and own rockets that they cannot understand or control.

Hopefully you understand my point a little better. PM me with pics of your trim indicator set up and I will coach you through it. No problem. Glad to help you out.

Sounds like my wife, except for the nascar thing, she likes to watch offshore racing, vintage sports car, and 24 hour sports car endurance racing. I am sure we wil be watching the 24 hour of Daytona race this weekend. She also LOVES porn.
