Quote: Team Freedom does it again! Saturday January 3, 2009 was another one of those beautiful sunny 70-degree days that Oklahoma is blessed with even in the winter. Time again for the mighty 46 Skater Freedom US1 To make her annual speed run. Conditions were better this year than last with mild temperatures and a 20-mph head wind. With Jim Lee on the sticks and wheel, Eric keeps an eye on those noisy ol' 1250's . Tyson was monitoring the fabulous 2 speed automatic trannys and Johnny did all those little speedy things to make a Skater fast, things were looking very good. After a quick stop at the world famous E-Dock to use the facilities for a prop change and it's out to the open water. It took three passes to sort out the wind and waves. On the last pass we hit our personal best of 147.2 by clicking it off early, running out of lake and shredding a blower belt at the same time. Daylight was fading fast, we are out of fuel and the temps were drooping (28* next morning). We had bettered last years speed and had a great time (January boating, Yeaaaaaah baby!!!) Time to put Freedom away and celebrate. Here is the youtube link so you can all go along to enjoy the ride. Congratulations and thank you to Jim Lee

Looks like it was still climbing good when you lost the blower belt, that 46 has 155mph in it. not many cats can run with you in rough water
