Chrome or stainless steel (SS) rims

Looking at some trailer rims found 2 models I like one chrome and the other SS..I'm dropping in salt water, the question is will the chrome go to sh-t fast or should I stay with SS.

I had a new set of chrome wheels on my trailer dunked it one time in salt water and they started rusting the next week

Stainless or aluminum, and rinse well after each dunk.

You want clear coated aluminum. You do NOT want chrome.
