I have two Packard 16 cylinder M-2500 engines in my shop one I am rebuilding for my 37ft wood boat. The workmenship and machining in this engine built in 1940 is very impressive.

What a tribute to all thous from the past who served and worked on them. It is amazing, the dedication that this group of volunteer's had to refurbished and finish this boat at their ages. Everyone of us own them and those who built them our thanks. They have preserve this part of history for all of us and for the future generation, to be able to see part of the past. Thank you so much to all who were and are involved and I hope the younger generation will maintain and keep this part of history alive.

Thanks The boat is a 2001 it is 37 ft. and was built by Fred Heim. I'm in the middle of re-varnishing it. The PT boat engine was way ahead of it's time. |
Great to see, but sad to see as well at the same time, knowing not many of the greatast generation remain with us.
