I had a similar experience last year at the Friday LOTO fun run the day before the shootout. We have run in that run previously, but now that I have a Formula Cruiser we got 20 minutes or so in front of it.

Knowing the run we hugged the cliffs around the 27MM, leaving 90% of the channel for the front running cats to have plenty of room.

That didn't sway a couple of them as they felt compelled to buzz us running 130+ mph.

It was cool, but it was way more dangerous than cool, and totally uncalled for.

Both.

If the floating boat had a camera crew that had agreed to do this, and the nor tech driver knew the camera boat wasnt going to move anywhere - then its merely crazy.

As it plays out here its both.

Didn't look much like a camera crew to me.

If those were my loved ones on that boat, I would be calling the owner of the nortech.
OMG!!! And how many awsome boaters were lost in the past because of freak accidents? And this idiot??? Show them chicks what an "accident" looks like, bet they will think twice about that again!

John, did you ever finish the boat you cut the nose off of and mount it? Would love to see pics of it mounted somewhere

SHOW OFF / IDIOT!

He probably wanted to live out "smokey and the bandit" all his life growing up! "

Burt Reynolds Quote ; It's what I do..... I Show Off!

Fun for some but not every one of those people on the ski boat could have been completely comfortable with that move but had no choice than to deal with it.

I agree if that was anyone of my family I would be "Bull"

Nice move "Jack Ass"... !

totally agree , it is what it's all about with a cool boat !

but within reason though.... unfortunately accidents happen, thats why it's called an accident.

Hence the word "had".
This wasnt an agreed upon crew that planned this in advance.

Yeah 9-99.7% of the time all this results in is a cooling down and a great show,

- but if you've ever personally seen the result of .02% you'd put a few more feet between you and those kids.

From my late teens to early 20s I saw a lot of stuff like this and even did it more than a few times myself.

One spring I was floating from the parker dam downriver and watched a guy pulling high speed passes in a wicked blown Sanger/Hondo Hydro hit a roller and lose it right into a group of kids floating like these were not more than 30 feet away from me. It killed a couple instantly a few others maimed all for what? A good show?

Ever see a bravo without external steering catastrophically fail?
You go from a straight line run to a instant 100% left right turn- Brutal.

Id agree that day, that water,- no big deal in that boat - at the same time you NEVER know when the .02% dice roll snakeyes.

Trying to figure out weather I sound like an old man- or I am one (at 42)
