Running south stop at Islamorada off of Holiday Isle on ocean side. There is a sand bar that everyone anchors (they even have a barge that shows up with food) for some swimming and partying.

After Islamorada, run to bayside past Holiday Isle and head a little south to Loreli's for dinner on the beach and a good sunset. I can give you lat and longs for all these places and most bars that you can boat to from Key Largo south.

A few years ago a few of us did this same trip but went from West Palm to Key West.
This time we are going to spend a couple of days at each stop to get more sightseeing in. Key Largo will be the last stop and then turn around and head back up. Gilberts sounds like a nice place to stop and have a cold one.
Thanks for the info guys.

These guys above are correct, too long of a day for a round trip, if you were to run down to Peanut from Fort Pierce, I would plan on spending the night local. Are you running to the keys a few days at a time?? If so, we can meet up somewhere along your journey, I live halfway between West Palm and Miami, so its not a problem, although I do work some long hours during the week. Also, as Bob and a few others mentioned, the Fort Myers Offshore group is great to run with, trailering across for a day is another option.

Here is what I have so far for stops, just need to figure out which marinas we are going to stay at.
March 7th Launch Boat on Saturaday stay at Harbortown Marina Ft Pierce
Sunday head to Miami area marina ????
Wednesday head to Key Largo marina ???
Friday head to Ft Laurderdale marina ????
Saturday back to Ramp, load up in afternoon start heading home.
So if you all can tell me your favorite marinas in these place would be great.

Thanks to all that have helped me out on my planning.
We have changed the date to March 14th - 21st.
Our plan is to Launch at Ft Pierece and head to Miami city docks ,
Sat, Sun , and Leave Miami and head to Key Largo Monday afternoon.
Key Largo , Monday night , Tuesday, Wednesday and Leave Thursday and head back up toward Ft Laurderdale.
Ft Lauderdale Thursday & Friday Night.
Saturday maybe head back to the launch and head home unless we are having too much fun and we can be convienced to stay another night.
Hope we can meet some of the local boaters and hang with you all for a couple days.
Thanks

Bahia Cabana in Ft. Lauderdale- also has a motel and marina- dive bar open late lots of fun http://www.bahiacabanaresort.com/
Le Tub is one of my favorite on the water lunch spots in between miami and lauderdale if you run the inside http://www.theletub.com/
Miami marina- Bayside but not sure if you are sleeping on boat but you will need to find a hotel near by. http://www.baysidemarketplace.com/html/
my house in lauderdale has a dock if you get in a jam or if you need any assistance while here I run key largo to FLL on a regular basis but these days in a 35 center console
