Gas Prices

What is it with the gas prices in the northeast, they rise as fast as the air temperature? $1.319 today

Better get the boat filled up quick

Risk Taker 03-15-2002 12:40 PM

We just went over $1.20 for the first time in a long while......1.21 this morning at Mobile. :(

1Boatnut 03-15-2002 12:44 PM

In the midwest today I paid $1.39 for 87 octane. Oil companies should just have people bent over grabbing their ankles for a slogan. Heard it,s gonna be $2.00 buck or over again, just in time for boating season. What I dont understand is when it goes down it is usually 3-5 cents a gallon. When it goes up it is 18-30 cents a gallon. BASTARDS!!! Did I say that outloud ?

EWB 03-15-2002 12:52 PM

I paid .97 for it monday stopped this morning and paid 1.19

Douggie Fresh 03-15-2002 12:59 PM

MrCIG 03-15-2002 01:11 PM

Dougie, know the feeling last year it cost me $84.00 to fill the excursion and $520... to fill the boat.

Douggie Fresh 03-15-2002 01:22 PM

Mr Cig, Belive it or not we dumpped $700.00 to fill the Scarab last summer when prices were at there highest. I think it was around $2.89 per gallon then.

Right when Greenspan said the economy was starting to rebound, the price of gas jumps!
coincidence??? I think NOT.

Betcha we see the oil companies post record (or near record) profits again this year!!!!!

Reckless32 03-15-2002 02:28 PM

Mack312 03-16-2002 08:57 PM

It's BS!!! $.97 on Friday and $1.37 on Sat. How in the h#ll can that be?!

mama tryed 03-16-2002 09:12 PM

I here ya ! Any time OPEC has any type of announcement, major Oil Corp. use that as an reason to jack up pricing on diesel and gas!!
Diesel jumped 10 cents a gallon here last week, for no reason!
In reality, why is diesel higher than Gas!! It takes less Money to refine, so it should be cheeper to the pump, right?? WRONG!!
AND Trucking is taking a major hit, along with anybody associated with the trucking industry..

NASTY HABIT 03-16-2002 11:04 PM

Ioften wondered the same thing of diesel.... it didn't used to be that way.... when we bouhgt ou rfirst it was cheaper and has just been creeping up as time goes... it must be a suply and demand reason only... as more turned to it for savings... and of course the trucking industry... why not raise the price...... i think someone hit ti right on the nose earlier..... BAS^#@*!!!!
