Surface drive & Skater

Does anybody know what brand this Catamaran is ?
They claim its a Skater ,by looking at some lines ,there,s a little Chris craft into it ...
The Surfacedrive system is a work of art ,and definatly developed by a NASA like engineer ,this I have to let Rik At Arneson to have a look at ,maybe something for a new model for heavy offshore racing

Enjoy

Looks like those drives went a little deeper than the surface.

HotPursuit 01-25-2009 12:50 PM

Chris Cat and a needs some seriuos TLC

AO31 01-25-2009 02:06 PM

Kinda looks like a chris deck forward of the transom and a skater 32 bottom?

C_Spray 01-25-2009 02:29 PM

Scary fragile-looking home-made(?) drives and CABLE steering? Frightening. Possible restoration project if you can get past the biological experiments growing in and on it.

But.....WHY???

slikcraft 01-25-2009 02:40 PM

I think a piece of engineering on the kitchen table.

Young Performance 01-25-2009 03:19 PM

I like the cable steering. I think it is a great idea. What could possibly go wrong???
The green splatter effect on the seats is TIGHT!!!

Hey Rik....take some notes. That is how a REAL surface drive is built.:evilb:

Thats not a Chris-cat/ Shadow bottom. Deck maybe or close. Chris-cat's dash meets the center pod. Either way, neither boat has that split down the side. Also, look at the entry... sure does look like a skater from the gunwale down
Also, Chris Cats have a one piece transom that comes up past the gunwale approx 9".

Don't laugh, I'll bet a lot of those on here don't see anything wrong with it.:party-smiley-004:

Also, there are a lot of builders that would purchase it espically if it was CHEAP.

How much could it have possibly cost back in the stone age.

6 pieces of stinless material - $200
2 prop shafts - $200
2 props stolen off a cruiser - $50 and a case of beer

Getting eaten by a shark while swimming back to shore after stuffing your homemade boat - priceless

johnnyboatman 01-25-2009 07:15 PM

hey if thats a skater, then i have a warlock skater for sale:eek:

Those extensions look like they would snap off after one good launch off a wave.
