Question K&N Filters..What to expect?

Does anyone have any experience with adding a K&N filter to their set up? I was thinking about adding one to my 496 Mag H.O. There are so many different numbers being quoted as far as horsepower gains. Really, what kind of performance increase should one expect?

A buddy of mine took the flame arrestor off the 496HO to see what the difference was, no change at all. Save your money.

You should see a 100hp gain!!! It's like adding a supercharger for pennies, your gas mileage will increase 10-20 mpg!! They work just like an ab-electric belt thing!!!! Not. I use them because they do flow freely, are "oiled" to catch more dirt, and can be used over and over again with a simple recharge kit. Otherwise they will not add any power you will "feel" but do not hurt either. You also get a cool sticker for your trailer!!

I did not add it to try and gain anything just to try and keep the air filtered better like Mitch said. James
