We Built a Weapon

I'm not talking about the 40 Roadster Nor-tech.
George Boyd's new snowmobile may just be the prettiest one I have ever seen. It just happens to have quite a bit of horsepower too. We started with a stock 2009 Yamaha Apex GT Mountain like this one. The shop added the horsepower and accessories and the paint shop did the rest. |

That boost gauge means it is 220hp rather than the stock 150.

That thing looks great and with the heavy dose of extra horsepower you added to it. Be afraid and careful.

turbocharged?

We live in Indy and don't get enough snow to justify having them here but was thinking about getting some for next winter and keeping them up north somewhere. Any suggestions on locations in MI or Wis to buy a cabin or winter home for sledding activities - a combo of lots of snow, trails, with enough of a town with night life that you don't feel like you are totally out in the stix?
Thanks |

George took the sled before I could get pics. Here is a simlar one that we did.
Im dying to try the new 4 stroke tech on sleds- So far Im impressed with the 4 stroke quads I have. living here in Ca. sleds are one of the things I miss the most. Our house/farm switched between yamahas (vmax & SRV's) ski doos, and arctic cats, as we grew up. I Grew up in Midwest and we seamlessly switched from dirt bikes to sleds and back as the seasons changed. Looks like a vortech/Paxton type deal?? Wheres it "come on" at ? "Uncle" Dave |
Things are going well. I will be in Maimi, but not sure which days yet. I will keep an eye out for you.

Marginm...you might want to try Cadillac, MI. Cool trails, not totally in the sticks, usually the best snow compared to similar latitudes. We ride there quite a bit. In fact, this is my first weekend home since Christmas!
And yes, the 4-stroke sleds are KILLER. Bought one for my wife and I love it...Bob Z and Magic Medicine both run Apex's. Only thing that sucks about them is the weight...my next sled will be a Doo 4-stroke, though. |

Its a Yamaha for chts sake. Only thing you have to sell to a Skidoo owner to go riding with that ....is a larger mirror!!!!!!!!!!!! Thought you were a Nortech dealer.:cool-smiley-027: |
