39FT CUV Cat.
EDiT: OOPS 42 CUV
I didn't want to hijack the Apache for sale thread( too much fun to read) But was curious to the history of the CUV. Listed on the same site as the Apache, there is a beautiful 39ft CUV for sale at what seems to be a great bargain. I'm not in the hunt for a new boat, but seeing the boat, that's completely re-rigged with Arneson drives, for only 65k...wow. One thing that had me thinking though, it stated that the boat ran 100mph with 1000hp's. Seems the boat should run MUCH faster than that with 2000 total HP. Anyone ever owned one, or know about them??
Darrell.

im pretty sure dmoore is talking about the 42 cuv that was on ebay last week that goes by the name of quality concrete. pretty sure the buy it now price was 60k without power. overall it looked like a nice. nice trailer and nice paint minus the advertising of quality concrete on it.
the auction ended at 20k and the reserve wasnt met. i think the owner has been trying to sell this boat for over a year with no look.

That's the one. Sorry I couldn't get the link to work. Boat looked to be in great shape, with tilt trailer and Arnesons. 60k seems very inexpensive for what it is. Anyone know about these boats???

darrell,
i had my eye on that 42 cuv as well, but i think the 60k was to much for it. i think there was a 38 cuv with full power set up already called "endangered species" that just sold for 85k. so i figured to find 900- 1000hp engines for the 42 cuv would be very expensive bringing the total close to 100k so i was like forget it.
the boat is very nice though and u can search the forums here and find out info about it. i believe the owners has been trying to sell it for awhile from what i read on here.
check under the forum "classic offshore" and the topic where are all the tin boats
