Dad not doing well.
 

Dad has all kind of breathing and lung issues in Rockford Il. He is on full time O2
We are looking for a part time nurse or MA to stop in and check on him once or twice a day. Mom can't handle all the medical issues since she is pretty much in a bad way also.

They will be relocating to NJ early March, but we need to hire some help for a few weeks.
Any input or nursing type info. would be greatly appreciated and a few prayers wouln't hurt either.

I have a friend who is a case manager at a hospital in chicago I will ask her if she has any contacts out that way. Should get some responce from her by tommorrow

If a emergency arises I live about a hour and half from Rockford feel free to call me if there is anything I can do to help 24/7.

My father passed about 15 years ago at age 62 So I know what you are going through and my prayers are with you

I have talked to my nurse friend and she has no connections out there

She told me to call Rockford Memorial hospital 815-971-500 and ask for social services and they could supply a list of local care givers

I have called and left a message and waiting fo a responce

Thanks for all your kind comments. I got a private nurse / home care company lined up for the next few weeks, (In Illinois) to come to the house and check on both of my parrents.
We are planning to go to NJ First week of March. IT was important that Mom and Dad feels somewhat safe, when I or my sister is not there. Their attitude and outlook is getting better. This is important, and now they are trying to get some strenght and preping for the trip. It's amazing what the mind can do, and how well a better attitude helps their overall health. Dad is actually moving around and walking around the house. I feel better now as well that some one will be checking on them, and I'm ok leaving them for a week or so, untill I come back to Rockford for the move.
