OT. California People please help.

My girlfriend and I will be flying into L.A. on Sunday the 28th of April , and we are due to be in Sonoma on Thursday the 2nd of May, So what I'm asking you guys and girls is that we need some cool things to do and see those four days we have to kill. We probably are going to spend a night or two in San Fran being that my girlfriend has been there before and she liked it very much.

I was thinking something along the lines of a nice boatride on a big offshore boat ..... :D

PS : I will return the favor if you come out to Long Island .. O.L. or Cig. :D
PSS: We will be coming from Cabo San Lucas , so we will have had a few days of partying already.
Tom and Barbra:cool:

Well, if San Fran wasn't 7+ hours away, I'd offer to take you out. Unfortunately, its a little bit of a stretch :) .

If you eer make it to So. Cal, let me know ;)

TomFTM 03-17-2002 06:42 PM

BBC, We are staying the first or two night somewhere in the L.A area , We were probably thinking of going up to SanFran on tuesday or so. I spoke J.O. the other day and he seems to be quite happy(with you). Maybe you could talk him into flying out there the same time we are out there. :D TOM

Nick, What is wrong with the boat?

Hey Tom -------------

Half of SCOPE is going to be at the AHBA Poker Run in Havasu that weekend!!!!!!!!! Either change your weekend plans, or come out for a bad ass poker run in Havasu!

Blonde Cig Chick 03-19-2002 02:03 AM

TomFTM,

Hey there....;)

There is a good chance that J.O. will be out here that weekend. We will be down south as of Thursday and had planned on firming up the date for his trip to Cali. at that time. Ruckus should be back on the water by that time as well.

So, after this weekend please feel fee to check with either J.O. or myself and we should be able to nail that down for you better. :D

Cheers!

magnuman 03-19-2002 02:36 AM

Tom,
I live about 18 Miles north of San Francisco. Unfortunately my boat will not be in the water at that time. If you tell me what your interests are in the Bay Area (Hotels,Clubs, Restaurants,Wineries)I can steer you in the right direction. I also go to L.A. quite a bit on business that I also combine with pleasure.
I usually stay in West Hollywood at the Wyndham BelAge hotel. It is a fun hotel with a great location off of Sunset, and reasonably priced by LA standards. It's centrally located for Bel-Air,Hollywood,Beverly Hills, and close to Santa Monica & Marina Del Ray.

TomFTM 03-19-2002 09:37 AM

Tripps , Thanks for the suggestion , will add that to the to do list.

BBC, Sounds good to me , see what you can do. I'll give J.O. a call and put an idea in his head. If your looking for any stellings in the future let me know , I now someone who has 3 sets sitting around.. ps. have fun in Fl this weekend.

:D

PhantomChaos, Can't change plans , I will be getting there sometime sunday afternoon. I think the run would be over by then?

Puder, Yeah, I'll take you out for a ride, I could always use someone to clean the boat.....:p

Magnuman, Please , give me info on Hotels, Rest. etc. dont need info on wineries cause we will be spending 4 days in Sonoma. Thanks

Tom

magnuman 03-19-2002 05:16 PM

Do you want restaurants, hotels in the Sonoma area or in San Francisco?

thisistank 03-19-2002 05:36 PM

Tom, everybody will be rollin back into town from havasu on sunday night/monday. I'd be glad to take you out for a blast except I'm working all week after we get back from the poker run.

Magnuman is right you should stay somewhere near Hollywood beverly hills area. You should check out Sunset, and Hollywood blvds...manns Chinese and all of that. Since it's not the weekend the clubs wont be jumpin but theres still good stuff to check out. You can also roll up to Universal city walk, check that out and actually go into universal studios if you so desire. Theres also the regular stuff like Disneyland/california adventures, Knotts berry farm, MagicMountain. Check out Beverly hills, go by Symbolic Motors, they have a very nice selection of exotic vehicles. Platnum motors also just opened a shop up off of Rodeo (they are the North american distributers for Lomborghini) then theres Rodeo to check out.

You can also roll down to LongBeach and or Newport Harbors and check out the SCOPE guys stomping ground Visit the Yardhouse, woodies, hooters....You are sure to run into someone with an offshore boat around there. Theres also the Queen Mary in LongBeach.

Just one comment, the Norskog Marine center is now up here where I live in Oxnard California (about an hour north of L.A. and on your way to San Fran.) You could go by there and check it out, it is very cool from what I'm told. You can also swing by the Power boat Mag headquarters here in Ventura (neighboring city of Oxnard) I can let Brett Becker the editor know you are swinging by if you are interested. He'll give you the down and dirty tour of the H.Q. and he's good to B.S. with about boats, the mag. and what not.

If you need anything else let me know. Sorry it was so long....Theres alot to do here and I just barely scratched the surface!

Blonde Cig Chick 03-26-2002 09:37 PM

TomFTM,

Hi there.......we're back! Well, it looks like J.O. will be coming out the weekend of April 26th. The boat should be done (hopefully)by then as well. Florida was awesome! As always of course. That Outerlimits is the bomb! Mike makes a truly impressive product. A great time was definitely had by all.

As for the Stellings, do you know of a pair of blacks with a 12 degree rise? I do need another set again. Thank you for thinking of it. Please let me know. :)

Cheers,

Anna

TomFTM 03-26-2002 10:47 PM

BBC, Glad to see you had a good time , I'm jealous, this is the first year out of the last 4 yrs that I didn't take my boat to Florida, so I really miss the short boating fix during the winter.. Although J.O. did help he with that ride at Miami , so that held me over for a about a month, but that month is over and I need another fix. I wish the weather would get better here so I can get my new O.T. together. Thats good news about the 26th, just make sure he stays for a long weekend. We should have a blast if it all comes together.

I will check on the stellings in about a week , when I go back and see the person who has them . I know they are blacks, will check on the rise . ;)

Tom:)

PS. J.O.'s BOAT IS OUTRAGEOUS :D
