Does it run a ssm prop or are they making there own ?
It uses the 26 spline prop as found on the #6, arenson, etc. The props on the drives at the show are manufactured by us. |
Thats a nice looking piece!! Thanks Julie for the pics!

thanks They say the drive can handle the power the Ilmor motors put out. The drive looks as if it could handle as much as a #6 could. It's not a heavy duty Bravo drive or an NXT drive. It looks like it would be able to handle anything Ilmor manufactures, or plans to manufacture, in the future. The gears inside are about the same size as those in a #6. It's an impressive piece with over 3 years in the making. Ilmor really did thier homework. |
I always said competition is a good thing, both on and off the track! :ernaehrung004:
Will be interesting to see some pricing... |
Hope they make a nice package deal, I am not saying names but I always felt, to become a "big" player in this market, you need to either beat Merc on price or Beat them on value.
Problem is when products try to go head to head, going to loose, merc has the dealer network and market share. So GO ILMOR, lets see some kick azz numbers. |
Right on. Competition is great for us consumers.

this drives success will depend on the price and warranty.

I was very impressed with the drive, the whole package, and the Ilmor personnel at the show. I am the type of person that asks all of the annoying questions that most reps at the shows tell me to consult the webpage or email someone at the company but the Ilmor rep I talked to answered all of my questions fully with detail and was very nice and professional. Very impressed. So far it has been a great show and I'm only half way done with the convention center. I'll try to remember my camera tomorrow.
