Several buddies have these. They are HUGE and would fit the bill. But, just like a cruiser, I wouldn't want to trailer one of these very often.

I had cruisers for years and will likely go back to one in the next couple years....more likely a Formula 350SS, 370SS, 400SS, Fountain 38EC, and maybe a Black Thunder. So,e of the 30ish ft cruisers with upgraded motors and outdrives will still run over 50 WOT......maybe one of those would be acceptable??? I went to go-fasts to cover more ground since our range was limited by the number of hours I was willing to spend getting somewhere, the go-fasts certainly doubled that range but the cabins were nice once you got there.

That's one of the boat I was thinking... is there a aft cabin bed in there? I think so But those who advertise those boats not often show pictures of those beds, if there are any at least...

Speed: would not want below 60. Not that I'm running WOT often, but I just want to keep a cruising speed above... 35 or 40 let's say...

A 400ss going over 60mph is going to be a 275k+ boat you will need 525's or buy one of the repos for under 100k and repower, 700's and NXt drives should hit 70 but you will want to talk to your insurance guy first. A deisel boat will have a good crusie speed close to what your looking for but not the top end. Yes the aft bed is the big one and very nice I and am 6'5" 225# guy and I have looked at the 400 for myself for the size of the bed, it's bigger than the Donzi I don't know about the size in the Fountain.

If you want to stay in more of a sport and have 4 or more people on your boat look at a 386 Sonic they have a big cockpit even bigger than the 42/45's witch is where most time is spent it can sleep 4 in the cabin there is room for a gen so you can run A/C and stuff. They will run upper 70's with 525's They can be had at a fair price. The 37 AT is nice but doest have the cockpit room of the Sonic and you half to join a cult Black Thunders are just plain big you can do jumping jacks in them and some look more like an RV inside than a boat.

I have never been in a 400ss in big water but here the ride is not so good they are wide and not to heavy so it may be a little rough.

Tell us what you want to spend at that would narrow it down.

Nortechs are big yes, you would need a 43 to have a gen. and most good clean ones are over 300k, if you don't need a gen there are some 38's out there they have real big cabins and some are under a 100k.
