Gladiator test in Boating
 

I just finished reading the test on the 36 Gladiator in Boating. A few thoughts came to mind. First, what is everyone's opinions on sitting down in a boat? I am a stand up guy, but I could probably adjust to sitting down, especially in that boat. Is this the new trend now that Cig, Outerlimits, and others are making sit down models? How come Colby bashes Cigarette for putting the throttles on the left hand side, when Fountain has been doing it for years and he never mentions it as a bad or negative thing? Again, I think it would take some time to get used to but I could live with it. Lastly, what are your thoughts of glassing the hull and deck together, eliminating the need of a rub rail? It sure does look sharp, but one accident at a dock could leave the boat in bad shape.

I think they are awsome! But, If I ever get the chance to have a boat like that, I dought I will be able to own one without a cabin for the wife and the writeoff!

skater and other cats have had the sit down position for years. i didn't like it until i bought my f1 fountain with seats out of a spectre cat. i'm starting to dig it more now. it does hold you better when you're running hard. i think cig has made a serious attack on fountain with the gladiator. it's a fast hull and can handle rough water. it'll be difficult to beat in f2. i was considering a 35 fountain for my next boat, but the gladiator just got put at the top of the list.

The boat tested in boating mag happens to belong to a friend of mine here in MD. and this boat is supposed to run in the triple digits before he takes delivery. This boat is not just bad to the bone its SUPER BAD!
