Offshore racing book
Picked up a good book the other day off of Ebay.
the book is titled "Offshore racing grand Prix" It is a short history of Class 1 racing ,I haven't had a chance to read it completly but it does have some cool pictures. Why is it the Europeans always seem ahead of us in technology ? In 1990 there Class 1 boats had the safety features (air) and canopies that we have now. I don't think we were that far along back then. I could be wrong though. there are some nasty wreaks too, there was one picture where the boat stuffed and the engine came loose and took out half the boat. |
The Europeans adopted (and mandated) the Lavin Guidelines, created here in the good old U.S. of A. ............. The American racing bodies "suggest" that you follow them......
God Forbid somebody should be prevented from racing and spending money at a race site........simply to save his life. T2x |
