I've been looking at a Catalina 26 for those really high gas price weeks this summer. I've been told that if I use bottles instead of cans, placing the cooler towards the midship would boost my on water speed up to one KNOT. That's a pretty big increase, but I worry more about returning to shore and having to deal with two cases of empty beer bottles. Cans are so much easier.

So many things to prepare for ahead of the season.

I think that I would go with a recycling container. Perhaps made of hemp. The environment is very important.
