Yes I have been speaking to him,but he seems to be into the IO's not so much into the outboards.

my00b16si 03-09-2009 07:17 PM

I would get ahold of Randy from liberator boats its seems between 300sx and 225 pro's he has it covered. his oso name is wildman (daytona 386-788-4378 or 386-761-8050)

That little yellow boat is insane, I want to see a video of it at speed.

Grants Custom Rigging in Ft. Lauderdale. He is very experienced with outboards.

Jay at Spectre Sportfish in St. Pete. He did O/B's on his old cat molds and his fish models. Go and take a look at his operation before you decide anything.

First Gun 03-09-2009 08:42 PM

Rigger please.

sean stinson 03-09-2009 09:54 PM

TNT is probably one of if not the top outboard guys in the business!!!!!!

Brad Zastrow 03-09-2009 10:10 PM

Larry Goldman / Xtreme Marine Miami is very good with the outboards. It would be wise to have a rigger who understands cats and outboards. TNT and Xtreme are very good. Larry will likely be a little less money.

Couldnt agree more with Brad. Larry at Xtreme and TnT are the best. Our boat is at Larrys right now!

Talk to Grant. 954.481.9911. www.grantscustomrigging.com

He will not only rig, but help you get it set up and dialed in. An outboard rerig is nothing new, he did Contender recently and has a sunk Intrepid on the way. Done a "couple" cats too...especially the 32 Doug Wrights for both OB and IO.

Here's a video. I had the boat up to 82 on GPS. Very fast acceleration with the 225 Promax, but hard to drive over 70. I had to bury the nose to be able to steer it. Kind of crazy, but I had to do it.

Here's a link to the restoration.

Nobody knows outboards and cats better than Spectre and they are right there for follow up. Makes the most sense.

But you can't reach them, I have been calling them for 3 days now and no answer, and left them a message and no call back.

Larry rigs and maintains all of my boats. As Brad says he's an expert with outboards, as well as inboards, cats and V's. Very honest and fair.
