Project X is Haggins baby... But late 2010 is the goal.

Long Island Run.... I think we have the hardware to attempt that now. question is do we have the time to prepare

nice thing about turbines is they are reliable compared to piston motors.. every time you max rpm a piston motor you always have to worry about braking something.. with a turbine boat you can take it out and run the H**L out of it and have no worries and run it all day like that

you should put them in the callan 62 and set the v-bottom record!

Its racing the OPA Series this year. It will be in Maryland next weekend and Orange Beach AL Oct 13-17.

Piston motors (4 stroke) only make power 50% of the time.

Turbines make power continuously.

Any pictures or specs? What kind of hull is it? Are they going to try for a speed record run? I am assuming they will not race the monster....

Yup, they race it but it has T55s that make about 1800 hp each.

Still a scream machine. 50' Mystic, old Callan hull.

Actually Ron I think you mean T53,s which are the 703 version.
Cobra attack helicopter power plants.

T55,s are the Chinook Helicopter power plants
These also come in different versions.

Geicos yet to use the big t55,s yet in a race.
