Do not forget they were 1457 Tq @ 15752 RPM ,Gear reduction is torgue multiplication (less parasitic) looking at the 5700 RPM.

Very good question. It is a complete package, and not just turbine based. I wish I could go into more detail but it's not apropriate at this point.

The performance world will not be disapointed.

Project X is a unique project for the next generation Miss GEICO race boat utilizing the very expensive lessons our team has learned about operating and optimizing turbines in a race boat combined with Ultra High performance handling that will allow the average performance boater to enjoy an envelope of performance like stepping into a new 911/458 Italia. The latest PHM/HUMS systems will provide live health management overviews of the entire craft from composite load data to full driveline health catching any abnormality before it becomes a problem..... ..and throw in Gary Strays cutting edge design.

So AMF has given a beast a brain and a heart beat... so they are either dabbling with Cyborg technology or intent on replacing NASA's space shuttle program with a boat...LOL

Awsome HP numbers!

How are the repairs to Miss Geico coming along?

Beast a brain. good one!!

She is coming along nicely. Mystic has really put alot of effort into getting her back on the race course quickly. Should be complete next week then a paint touch up and off to testing.

Thank you again everyone for your support.

Do your turbines generally have a similar Jet A consumption rate relative to hp or is it the nature of turbines????

Earlier in the year someone from from Miss Geico, possibly yourself, posted that the consumption of the T53's was about 2.4 gallons/min/ turbine ( guessing 1800-2000 hp) - this project is 4500hp and the burn on the dyno report is 5.43gpm = 2.25 times the hp and almost 2.25 times the fuel burn!

Just kinda fascinating to see the efficiency in the numbers work out that way with such a massive difference in power output with reliability/ repeatability...Way cool!

It will be REALLY interesting to see running @ speed once dialed in.

Cheers,

Scotty B. Did a lot of hard work before " miss geico " Project X etc . ever came to fruition.

In the early 2000,s He was driving around in an old dodge 1/2 truck full of " kean University " T-shirts Promoting his SPONSOR .
Then in Atlanta 03 I think he ran into what would Become the " AMF " sponsor .
He has done well in keeping his eye on the prize .

i know this is not relevant to the subject , I just felt like acolades were in order .

Keep goin at it .
