I know we need a smaller boat and team, back in the 80's with Buzzi, it was 7 figures for a season.

Xfuel is small, a start-up that is under 90 days old and hasn't put 1 bottle on the street yet (April 4th launch) and yet we're attracking money and everything out there on us is viral. So, our pockets our very shallow at this point.

Let's see where this goes maybe in 60 days we'll be ready to do something?
Guys, please don't fight about this, I enjoy being on here and don't want to cause trouble amongst you all. You see my reply above here from page 1 of this yet. I'm just testing the waters and seeing what it costs and I have to justify this to everyone now since I have OPM's now. I think I got a good feel for the dollars and I need to talk to a few of you tomorrow about some ideas you had.

I like Gino's thought about the poker run boat, you know it's fits that player lifestlye - not to say Gino is a player but I saw the spinners on the truck video (LOL)!

There were a few great PM's and I thank all of you!

As far as the comments about paying for the wrap as being free - not to insult anyone here because I raced A, B, ProStock, M, Open and Superboat, but if you are thinking you can support yourself and your family racing your own boat now a days - please don't quit your day job, it's short lived and you don't make enough money to last for the rest of your life!!!

I would though feel very gulity wrapping his whole boat without compenstating him somehow for his efforts.

To me the wrap is a bonus. I will be painting my boat this year with a new graphic. This will cost me at least $3000 if I do it all myself and to paint it to a level a wrap can provide it would be $20k plus. So if we were to mutually agree on the look of the wrap, we both win.

Like Joe said, if you need sponsors to support your racing, take my advice and get out. You owe it to your family not to waste your kids college fund or your retirement. Furthermore, I would not invest my $ in a team that can't support itself.

sponsors are for AA members and kids in third world countries

in motorsports its marketing partner... the S word is forbidden

The decal exposure ranks about 7 outta 10 in a proper designed marketing partnership. Of the monies invested 30-40% of the monies going to MULTIPLE programs that maximize the goal of the partner and its exposure to the target demagraphic of the product or service. Other efforts in synergy with other partners, B2B, hospitality and charitity involvement for goodwill of the brand name

I mean if I wanted a "P" class boat to have the big "Xfuel" on the side what does it cost? I want no involement with the boat, ie driving etc - just our name and the right to use it for promo.

You'll see on Google we've sponsored a Pro Wrestling series ISPW to get going again (great with video gamers) and we have about 60 PRO gaming girls (Team Foxy - not bad looking I might add!!!) aged 18- 28 under our banner as well and probably now another 12 guys who compete at the PRO level (MLG) wearing our stuff.

I like boats (no sh*t), so I think a big "Xfuel" would look cool and we definitely would get you press around the web, not in boating circles but video game circles.

What is this worth???

Again, please no dreaming, I'm serious as we deposited the 1st round of funding yesterday and there is more coming ever month - that part is insane, how people want to give us money to be part of this, it's crazy how it's going!
2009 Team Proposal It's 3.53MB so please dont try and down load it to your phone.. lol

I Spoke with Rock Star, Monster, Radioactive and a few other drink companies. Offshore is the perfect demographic; I'm shocked a few of big boys have not jumped up to sponsor a boat, race or series.

With things so bad in the car industry, Mercedes is having major cut back. i know my days are numbered with Mercedes . Just think how good Xfuel would look in place of Mercedes Benz of Delray!!!! I would love to talk about it!
BULL****You have a beautiful boat;but please dont compare poker runs to racing in terms of excitement and spectator and sponsor appeal.
