496 - Cast stroker cranks?????
Are there any cast stroker cranks out on the water. I was looking at an upgrade for an individual and the subject came up regarding as to whether they would hold up or not. If so what brand is the best deal. Considering the RPM's under 5400 and HP to be no more than 575 HP. These are for 454 CI
Thanks for your input.

Spending a lot later
I understand completely what you are saying and would more than likely go forged steel however the question still remains - Are there many people out there that have grenaded 496's with cast cranks. That is what I'm really looking for. I've have built many engines most with steel cranks however several with cast cranks as well for others who were on a budget. I have yet to hear of any of them breaking.
I noticed there is several cast stoker cranks on the market. Why do they even sell them if there going to break. Or what is there intended use?
