Drove by Mystic
I drove by thier shop last week and the whole lot was empty. There was for lease signs out front too. Anyone know?
|
I'm trying to lease out some extra space and we have been on a 4 ten hour day work week for years so it may have been on a Friday. I've got a 50 in finishing and a 50 in the mould so we are still working away. Interest since the Miami show has actually gone up dramatically and we have a lot of deals on the table right now. Hopefully a sign of an upturn for the industry and the economy in general.
Thank you for your concern. John Cosker President Mystic Powerboats Inc. |
John, do you have a 48 built yet? how does it compare to the 50'. Do you have any plans for a 40' version, that would be more affordable .
|
The 50 in the mould will be the first open top boat. It will be essentially a race boat without the lid and Arneson drives on it. Interest has been more back on the 50 race cat lately with 4 pending deals on them. A forty to 45 ft. is on the drawing boards but no time frame on it, just sketching in my spare time which is pretty limited right now. It's looking like a 50 ft. diesel express cruiser for our yacht line will come first.
Wildman if your out in the area again don't hesitate to stop in. jc |
I was hoping you would chime in, I didn't want to have to find that 3 point latch hardware somewhere else. :drink:

The 60 and 55 moulds were replaced by the new 60 that has a boat in tbe mould. Dave has the 62 and 55 for sale, actually had someone at the shop today looking at the 62 diesel. We have the second 62 hull sitting on the lot for sale too.

Most of the parts are sitting in my office, just waiting for a few more to come in. jc |
I come by there alot to check things out. It's always on the weekends though. I was hoping you guys were still around. I sell Liberator tunnel boats in Port Orange. I talked to you years ago when you were on Oak St. Keep those boats coming. Things will get better hopefully.

They are very much in business I spent the day with Mr Cosker a couple of weeks back and got the whole plant tour as well as lunch on John.....He will be around for a long, long time to come!!!!!

John and his crew built the best boat I have ever owned. Can't say enough about their attention to detail and dedication to quality. As most of you know about this industry, it's an exception rather than the rule when someone tells you what they are going to do and what it will cost then does exactly what they said. That's how John Cosker runs his business!

In my opinion its the best looking cat on the water,A 38-40 ft one would be cool ,keeping the lines sleek like the 50.John keep them coming, best of luck.Rob:ernaehrung004:

KiloKat - I'm honestly humbled by your words, thank you so much, it really means a lot coming from an icon like you. You can bet it will be part of my testimonials page on my newly revamped web page which is coming soon. Are you out getting some time on the boat?
Thank you to everyone else too. Everyone here at Mystic works hard every day to build the finest offshore boats in the world. The best is yet to come. jc |

Wildman.
Obviously they have not closed their doors. Any way you could rename your thread so those that don't bother to read the posts don't get the wrong idea? I know I would hate to see that title about our company. |

Glad to hear things are better after the Miami show. Keep the boats coming, especially the big Vs. I'll try to stop by next time I'm down that way. Maybe run into you at a race this year?
