Mercruiser Parts - where to buy?
What places are good sources for mercruiser parts with good stock and prices? Also, where is a good place to pick up a gimbal bearing? My machine shop was going to order one but they need a number off of the bearing to cross and there isn't one. I don't mind spending money for quality parts but $70 for a bearing?!!!

Thanks Uncle Toys, we do try. Forgive me for what is absolutely a commercial plug, blackhawk we have all the Mercury parts and prices on-line at Mercruiserparts.com . Of course I have a biased opinion, but I think our site is the easiest to use (wrote it myself)

Not to diminsh the other suppliers, but Marc at Mercruiserparts.com has my vote not only for prices but with his site, I havent had to open my parts books in quite some time. And he has always been helpful on the phone and on this site. He just lent a member a tool to help him repair his drive which was above and beyond what any other dealer I know would have done.

Marc @ Bam Marine is great. mercruiserparts.com and Goodfella at Dollar Offshore is great too. dolleroffshore.com .
I have dealt with both.
Bam has a better web site and lower prices.
Doller carries some items that Bam does not.
Both MBam (Marc) and Goodfella (forgot his name) are OSO members and have been extremely helpful to a lot of members.
Gimble bearings are expensive.
