speedo not working
Any ideas how to try and fix? bravo ones.
|
Usually there is a rubber hose that popped off. Take a look around your drive.
|
The speedo pick up on the leading edge of the lower unit is probably plugged. Its a little notch about 4" above the bullet. The actual pick up tube could be connected to either drive.
|
That was always my problem. Take the smallest drill bit you have and start w that. prob some wood in there.

LEAVE IT PLUGGED, MAKES THE BOAT FASTER:party-smiley-004:

I agree with griff. Proabably some wood in the pitote hole.

Speedo is fine...you just need more power:boat:

this is asuming it is not a GPS speedo:grinser010:

My speedo didn't work for me either....
So I switched to boxers:evilb: |
If the little rubber hose didn't pop off as Phantom Chaos advised then I would do as Griff suggested. I had the same issue last year and corrected it by pulling the drive and using a long thin drill bit to clear debris from the lower unit speedo pickup and it's vertical capilary where the rubber hose connects... problem solved!
