I hope I'm not giving away any secrets, but the drive was a new development by Imco, 4 gears in the upper so as to balance the load on the gears, but no shifting in the drive. I understand the engine had about 1250 ft lbs, and over 1300 HP.

Default 144MPH

Thats freakin NUTS in a 25 Daytona.I really dont think I want to go that fast in my 25.The boat would be so light at those speeds that blowover would become a serious thought.Teague must have kevlar undies to hold those BIG brass ones

At least we didn't loose 4 more boaters...

Those speeds are a bit out there for the hull size.
What is the practical weekend application for this set up?
Who is the target market?
Or was this just a bragging rights rig for a magazine article?
If so your forgotten when the next issue hits.

Good luck, glad you guys accomplished your goal.
I know we all love speed but man that is more "stones" than I have!

Cool

That's awesome. I'm glad to see a 25 Daytona out there making that speed. I also have a 2001 25 Daytona Cat that runs 127 mph. Need more info on how to get my machine to the 144 or more mark. I am making good power but need a little help.
