Kryptonite Boats
1 Attachment(s)
A few days ago there was a thread on Kryptonite boats. I posted a reply or two on that thread, but did not have these pictures on my computer then. This is my throttleman's old F1 boat. The boat handled really well and was as tough as they come! Enjoy the pictures.

He sold this boat and is now building a new 35' Kryptonite. If the 35' is anything like this 27', it will be incredible.

This one was taken just before sunset on an extremely calm day. This photo is completely unaltered.

Nice pics Hot Duck. I've seen that boat running around OC. Who did he sell it to? Somebody in MD? I may be calling on you this summer for some navigation advice. I want to go from OC to Chincoteague. How tough is that?

Nice pictures! You should put them on the Gallery section too.

Dave - I believe that the original Wanted, pictured above, ended up in the NY area, but I am not sure. I have never made the run to Chincoteague, but I understand that it is not too bad as long as you have a good tide and follow the markers. I do know numerous people that have run the bay that far south so E-mail me when you are ready to make the run and I will find answers to your questions.

Dave, the run to Chincoteague is ok as far as where the channel goes past the west side of the island and then on out the inlet. HOWEVER, once you make the left turn towards Toms Cove, Memorial Park or the area where the ponies swim be very very careful. It should be named Shoal Island on that side. A small jet boat is best suited for the area. Don't even think about trying to go all the way around the island. I did, and between the sea weed and the oyster bars I walked more than I rode. See signature.

Thanks for the info guys. I have been to Chincoteague many times and wondered why I never see many performance / pleasure boats around there. Just fishing and pontoon boats.

Will,
If you are coming to Miami to look at your boat give me a call. I live 1 minute from Cigarette and I saw the new F2 Friday. All I CAN SAY IS YOU BETTER CHECK YOUR BILLS WITH PHILLY. One example is when they were working on our deal and he was doing extra work to the race boat he charged us $2000 dollars for storage and I found out that the space wasn't even his. Brett PS You would not believe some of the stories I have just learned recently!!! |
I ran with 27 last fall. It absolutely UNBELIEVABLE how well they run especially for a relatively flat bottomed boat! IMPRESSIVE!:D

Shane,
We are building a couple triple digit, single engine rigs right now. Also, Typhoon Marine, my dealer in Toms River, NJ is putting together a single 290 Sport that will be something to see. Probably in the range of 800 hp. This year's runs should be interesting. PS. I met your Parents at the NYC show this Jan. They saw the 27 I had there and stopped to look. We were chatting on the subject of perf. boats and of course they mentioned you. Very nice folks.:D Easy with the flat bottom stuff! It is only a couple degrees shy of 24. Kirk |
