I agree that it is a major accomplishment.
I just wish he would tell us how it was done. I admit that the Madoff post was stupid. Sorry. You Fountain guys sure are loyal to the brand! through him a high five...not a stab in the back |
who cares about the boat brand. of course fountain fast. all of us with 700's want to know how you get 6k. so no pulley change required, but pcm needs to be remapped to up the rev limiter and boost increased? who can do that? a mercury technician with level 2 access?

whats truelly amazing is that little 38 ft boat less 2 for the beak and less 2 for the swim platform so really a 34 ft boat then of coures you could deduct 2 for the notch so now it is a 32 foot boat is so stable at 117 or 120+, it really is true, that fountains are the fastest, safest, best handling boats out there. having owned a fountain since the early 90's and been in many others i still love my fountain what ever the lenght really is.

Mercury racing 700 sci limiters are 5450 rpm. There is a lot you can do to the 700 and 850 and the 1075 engines if you can get into the box and pulley changes.

There might be more there than meets the eye, but, the 700 NXT engine makes 785 hp at the crank and MERCURY also told me that they have 720 at the propeller shaft with this package.
So, I think everyone's base line is off here. 800 is low. |

[QUOTE=jmeng;2844016]Did you guys even bother to read the thread? Roger posted this on page 2. Not trying to be a dick but you're calling the guy out and he's already posted the info.
The only thing that has been said is that the rev limiters were turned up. It was never mentioned on how much power they make there. |
