I picked up an 08 F450 King Ranch late last year and really like it a lot. No problems and it tows great. The only thing is the 80 mph limiter. I'm probably gonna get a programmer to fix that but the new powerstrokes are so much quieter than ever before.

08 F350 PS DRW 3.73 rear LSD FWD 8' bead Supercab. Tows a Formula 382 without difficulty. I have never felt uncomfortable in any of the conditions I have towed. It even stops it pretty well the two times the trailer brakes failed last year. I am pretty close to the GCVW when fully loaded (steel trailer) so you might consider an F-450 if you have a 38 footer or larger. Its a beast parking but you get used to it. Back seat is fair sized but you wouldn't want to sit back there for a long trip. The LSD is pretty worthless. I ask the dealer to make sure it was still working the last time I had it in for an oil change because I needed FWD to get out of a pile of snow when one rear wheel was on pavement. He said it was working fine. It just didn't seem like it because the torque of the PS was overpowering the clutches in the rear end. No other problems or issues.

I really like my GMC 3500 dually. It's a 2004 with the Duramax motor and the best part about it is the Allison transmission which is far and away the best tranny on the market. 4:10 rear end makes any launch ramp a breeze and it also has 4x4 if you get into a slippery situation. ZERO problems and I love the truck. My 35" cig in the steel trailer weighs 12,500# and it pulls it no prolem at all.

I've heard of others with bad luck with a Ford 6.0. I have a F-350 with a 6.0 and (knock on wood, maybe i just got lucky) have had great luck and love the truck. I understand that the 7.4 gets better milage. My 6.0 get 14 mpg loaded or not. It pulls my 35 Cig like a dream and pulls my work trailer everyday (12,000 lbs).
Just my 2 cents.
