Bob,

If you make the weather window you mentioned and press on towards the Poker Run, when would you pass by P.R.?

Good Luck,
Julian Jr.

Hi Julian. The plan right now is to get to T &C by Thursday night and spend the weekend there. My crew for this leg needs to fly back north Sunday night and get back to work for Monday morning. If the winds were forecast to lay down for a few days I would be tempted to keep going and fly them home from PR. The forecast I have now has the winds picking back up over 20 knots again after Thrsday so not planning at this point to go further. If I can secure the boat in T & C, I will probably go home for a week and then decide when to return and either go north or south. It's really tough this time of year. I have done as much as 500 miles in a day but that was in June and a whole other story.
I have a question for you. You said you are on the south side of PR. Are there any good marinas with security in your area? Security has been a big concern to me. If the winds are out of the north, I would want to run the south coast of PR, provided I get that far.
Bob

What kind, and how big a boat would you need to be able to just drive everyday, and not care about the weather? Or could you do it in Bob's boat, at the expense of a rough, slow ride? Or would you get swamped and drown?
