The one he was looking at is for sale again !!!!

Your Pantera would also work !!!! But i guess the price is a big deferents ?!

Stormrider 04-25-2009 09:06 PM

dd, i don't know which he was looking at.
i know of one that could be bought, but not in any ad.
you have any pics/links to the one he was looking at?

My pantera is now owned by another boardmember, but would take mid/upper 20s to buy it, and it's not in race config.
But could run mid/upper 70s. Nice JC power, and still ticking!

dunno too much about BRT, any relation to the 2nd generation banana boats? cuz construction of those was not up to par.
I think that corsa is sweet. that's the way to go, and price is right.
Ready to race. Clean it up next winter.
Chris, what is your reason for not buying this corsa?

DareDevil 04-25-2009 10:19 PM

Read the "History of the 24" on the banana site. www.bananaboatco.com

Go to Products, scroll down to the bottom of the page to History of 24.

Once everyone realized that Don was not going to pursue anyone who splashed this first design, everyone and their brother made a copy......so, you have stated above incorrectly....all 24 footers are not alike.

I sold the boat to a friend who runs it on lake Lewisville in Ft Worth TX area . I now own a 32 Skater O.B which is undergoing full resto
One thing about BRT , great solid boat , will go through the roughest water no problem and many times friends in other boats many larger would complain how rough the water was and the BRT would eat the rough stuff up , go with I.O BRT , it is too easy to make big power VS having 2 clamp ons on such a small boat
Larry

Stormrider 04-26-2009 08:46 AM

some cool brt's.

duunoit 04-26-2009 10:51 AM

I want to say that there was a white/green one for sale up in New York on craigslist with twin outboards.

The 1st time i was in a BRT was the Camden OPA race with this boat and owner. The boat ran awesome and we slid the boat full bore into corners like a car. We also caught other faster class 5 boats, he had the combination down. who ever designed this particular design hit it right on. I am sure it also has to do with rigging as well.

activatorf1 04-26-2009 07:30 PM

Well thank you Cupcake !!!! Here is the deal , my first race with the white BRT and after one practice lap my Navigator pooped his pants , he felt we going to slide out , I have 25 years of mostly river racing so I dismissed his claims , threw him out and at the last minute Toasty jumped in ! I think he approved of my driving

Larry

TOASTY 04-26-2009 07:39 PM

listen fluffer i didnt say i approved of your driving i just typed that the rigging was ok and the junk aronow splash handled like it was on rails. I cant comment on the jerrys kids driver behind the wheel. yeah the 1st partner was terrified we where working on a bad boy 38 getting it ready and he comes walking over in the pits white as a ghost, and asked me if i wanted to ride and i said yes. then i slapped on the dash to try to get the tardo driver to blast by some p4 boats haha total junk

DareDevil 04-26-2009 07:43 PM

You guys are funny as hell !!! Great story !:evilb::ernaehrung004:
