Exhaust ?
I searched these on here but still looking for a little input. I just got the new engine in 25' IMP Eleganza. Its a .030 454 with a good set of decent flowing cast heads, mild hydraulic roller cam, roller lifters, edelbrock intake and a 750 carb. It has stock mercruiser exhaust manifolds.
The boat weighs 5600 lbs so Im not trying to set any speed records with it. I found 2 sets of exhaust. One is a pair of Gill manifolds and risers and the other is a set of Patterson headers (wet). Either can be had for under $500 a pair. My cams not big enough to worry about reversion I dont believe. Does anyone have any input on which may work better or worse for any reason? Chances are I will be putting my mini blower on it next winter (if I can wait that long) and would like to know what the educated masses have to say about these! TIA!! |
