Can I get regular thermostats for a 2000 502mpi from a parts store?
Whats the part #

Thermostat - 18-3551 (142 Degree) Napa#/Seirra#
Thermostat - 807252T2 (160 Degree) (They can Cross Ref. this # to a 18-####)
Thermostat Gasket - 27-530451

I cant pull that link up. I can find the 142 degree thermostat but is it okay to run in the boat instead of a 160?? No one can cross reference the mercruiser part#

No if it is a 160 deg. then you want to run that Stat. They will be able to Cross it @ the Store

Just order it from BAM

You'll want to run the right thermostat.

If you run the cooler stat, the ECM will see it running cool and dump extra fuel into it.

Just go buy merc Tstats?????? and make sure to get the correct merc gasket and use NO sealant. If you don't ahve the right gasket or you use sealant, you're temp guage won't work.

Sorry, I thought it was the same temp stat as the Carb'd 502s and 500EFI.
