Default Rotella 15w40 vs Mercury 20w50

Would it be ok to use the 15w40 Rotella in a 6.2 instead of the Mercury oil? What would the plus's or minus's be of either one?

Mobile1 15w50 runs great in the Mercury Motors. It cheaper than Mercury Quicksilver and is available at Wal*Mart.

X2 on the Mobil 1 15W50 silver cap. $26 in a 5 quart jug at Wally World.
